Contacts with Leaders in Latin Europe (Spain)
In order to a better understanding of our new ministry challenge in Latin Europe, I did several contacts with some leaders in Spain to start relationships with key leaders in those nations. In August, I crossed Spain and I had a good and personal conversation in Barcelona with the general-secretary of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance (SEA), Dr. Jaume LLenas, about the Dawn vision. He mentioned their need and interest to know more about research in terms of what we are doing in Europe. I think it will be very good if we share the Dawn experience in terms of Research, specially in Europe, also as a good start to open future opportunities to serve the scp movements in Spain. The idea is just to be open to see how we, as DEN, can serve them and share our experience in terms of research. Probably this will be a good (re - ) start in Spain.
PREPARING THE PORTUGUESE DELEGATION TO III IBERO-AMERICAN MISSIONS CONGRESS - COMIBAM
On behalf of the Portuguese Evangelical Alliance Missions Commission, I’m leading all the promotion and registration of the Portuguese delegation to the III Ibero-American Missions Congress (COMIBAM 2006) next November 2006. I’m inviting 75 key Portuguese leaders to examine the “field-fruit” and review what the true challenges of Iberian-american missions force are. This event will take place in Granada, Spain, November 13-17, 2006. Comibam plan to have 1500 participants along with 300 missionaries and foster an exchange of knowledge, experience and information which will renovate and significantly improve the Movement. It will be a historic milestone. Out of this collective analysis, we expect to strengthen and multiply our church-planting and disciple-making endeavors.
DNA Vision Training Program with Jun Vencer – 18 a 22 September
1. I decided to invite our friend Dr. Jun Vencer, to give us another training seminar about the DNA Vision, this time, for the faculty and student body of my Bible School, the Portuguese Baptist Theological Seminary (PBTS), were I work as Director. We had a wonderful week of teaching and 40 people did the training. I think this experience will be very profitable for the SCP understanding in a new generation of leaders and some teachers.

2. PBTS decided to adopt the DNA Program as part of its curriculum. So, I’m following now all the Jun’s materials and I will be teaching the full semester by the end of January. Before the end of the semester the 21 students had to be really engaged in a transformational mission project in the neighborhood and give me a report of all those activities.
